We turned in the “Life is Good” album in early June 2012….

I remember that particular NYC trip clearly…. We were staying at this hotel (pictured), by Bryant Park… the Puerto Rican Day Parade had past and the LA Kings won the Stanley Cup.

Later that week I got the comps for the jacket insert for the album, Def Jam delivered them to me at our hotel. It was the first time I’d seen my name on print, on an album. It was an awing moment for me, it solidified my existence in this music industry… I remember thinking to myself, “Bitch, you’re in this for real. – TURN UP!”
