Last month, I had dinner at this cute restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen, right on the north west corner of 57th & 9th Ave.
I was seated right away and was offered a glass of wine, “Your best red, please.”
The restaurant was cozy and well lit, there were other diners having dinner as well. The kind waitress started us off with pita and hummus. Yummy! It wasn’t a traditional starter like bread and butter, but a healthier option in which I liked.
My visit was during Lent, while I had given up all turf meat. So I looked through the seafood options on the menu. Salmon, I can’t go wrong with salmon! About 15-20 mins later, my salmon dish arrives to the table. Quite tasty! It was seasoned right, and grilled nicely. The veggies were steamed and weren’t too soft. My red wine complimented my fish dish and vice versa.
I plan on going back this summer while I’m in NYC to try other dishes; breakfast, burgers, and a chicken dish that I eyed on the menu.
This restaurant is definitely a spot to visit and eat while in NYC. And it’s right on a busy corner with windows to people watch. Good food plus real time entertainment, can’t go wrong with that!
