I’m excited to present Lauren Levi’s first solo exhibit tomorrow during Leimert Park Art Walk. Please join us!
Lauren is a DOPE visual artist! I’ve been attracted to her work ever since I started painting 3 years ago. She uses vibrant colors to portray powerful and prolific images. Every painting holds weight with a message that provokes thoughts and conversation about feminism, culture and current affairs. Everyone should see and live in this experience.

Come by tomorrow and see her new work! | 03.26.17 from 6-10pm
Letter from the Artist…
Dear Supporters, Visitors & Doubters
First and foremost I Want to thank you for taking the time out of your precious lives to visit my site! For those of you who may not know me I am Lauren Levi a self taught artist from Los Angeles California. My art focuses on the beauty of melanin. You will experience vibrant colors and complex patterns all while consuming a important message. My art has tons of different influences feminism, black activism & hip hop culture to share a few.
I am often asked what made me start Painting, I truly believe I was born a artist but it took me 27 years to discover that gift from God! I went through a extremely hard time and found myself engulfed in a sea of depression and missery. I needed a outlet because I was too ashamed for therapy. I prayed and hoped for clarity so I began to paint. My first peice wasnt nearly as awesome as i wanted it to be but I promised myself to keep going and perfect my craft. At the time I didnt really believe it was a craft I just wanted to create beauty out of pain. I pushed and pushed and started really evolving into my own true artisty, for once I was so proud of myself. The conifendce I got from embracing myself as a artist really helped me heal from a extremely low period in my life. I dont want to make this a sob story because there is so much I have to be thankful for even in my hardtimes. 2 years later and here I am still evolving, progressing and sharing my art as a testimony. Thank you again for sharing this experience with me. I hope you enjoy viewing my art.
Love Always,
Lauren Levi
